Collaborative believes that the capacities and accomplishments of organizations are directly linked to their capacity to foster and extend learning communities within them. We think this is just as true for people in school reform networks, associations, community-based organizations, neighborhoods and cities as it is for teachers and administrators. Indeed, Collaborative assesses our own practice on the value-add of the learning communities we help to create and foster—for our clients and our own team.Learning doesn’t happen in isolation. So we co-create, with our clients and partners, the structures, formats and agendas that support learning opportunities—grounded in the experiences and expertise of participants. Using a deliberate mix of face-to-face and virtual learning platforms, we help to structure learning opportunities aligned to content, knowledge, products and tools that help move participant learning to the next level. We also document and synthesize insights from these learning opportunities. And we create learning products and tools, both print and interactive.Whenever possible, we engage participants ahead of these learning opportunities, we track utilization data, and we conduct post-action debriefs to ensure the evolution of continuous learning.Fonte
